Марра́кеш - город на юго-западе Марокко у подножья Атлас (горы)|Атласских гор.
Город был основан в 1062 Юсуф ибн Ташфин|Юсуфом Ибн-Ташфин, первым правителем династии Эль-мурабитин. В прошлом Марокко был известен на востоке под именем Марракеш, и до сих пор называется так в Иране. Название Марокко происходит из деформации испанского произношения Марракеш: Marruecos.
